Automation/Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated systems and automation framework settings
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems
• Develop or modify programs in C /C#/C++
• Develop automation scripts in Perl and Ruby
• Coordinate system development, including the design, modeling, security, integration, and testing
• Identify, develop, and implement new processes to improve productivity and efficiency in our manufacturing operations
• Identify and resolve issues using existing or potential solutions
• Create detailed road maps to guide automation projects from initial conception to final implementation
• Manage and document system configurations
• Support and upgrade existing automation technology
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Provide technical support and training as needed
• What you will bring along:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning
• Experience with C# and WinForms building desktop programs
• Experience with Serial Communication and Interfacing to various equipment
• Experience with Micro-controller development (Arduino)
• Experience with electronic circuits
• Experience with purchasing, planning, scheduling, and materials management systems
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Good Microsoft Office skills
• SAP and manufacturing environment preferred
• Rate of Pay: $31- $35 / hour

The VISHAY Process Automation Industrial Engineer will create detailed project roadmaps for automation projects and automated systems to use in a production and manufacturing environment, in collaboration with departmental and corporate leadership. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, in addition to thorough knowledge of engineering and automation.
