About the role

We are looking for a Lead Customer Engineer to drive business-critical multi-disciplinary engineering projects from concept through execution. This role will leverage strong leadership, communication, planning, and engineering skills to help us manage the increased complexity of our releases and customer requests. Our ideal candidate has lots of experience shepherding complex releases in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment. This position will work cross-functionally with our Engineering, Operations, Sales, Customer & Product teams. Our Lead Customer Engineer has a unique mix of software expertise, domain knowledge, and an execution-driven mindset. Using these skills, you will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that Applied's products deliver maximum impact toward our customers' autonomy initiatives. This isa high-visibility role that is central to the success of the customer and to the growth of Applied's Korea office. At Applied Intuition, you will: Help execute end-to-end account strategy for a major enterprise customer. Serve as the main customer-facing point of contact, managing executive and leadership relationships Lead large, multi-workstream customer programs - coordinating delivery across simulation, validation, and autonomy workstreams toward key milestones Drive cross-functional coordination and influence across Applied's engineering, product, and sales teams to ensure customer needs are met through effective prioritization Prioritize and delegate across competing workstreams and a team of engineers to maximize customer impact Navigate ambiguity and complex customer situations - including incident response and high-stakes escalations - with composure and sound judgment Communicate at the executive level, framing program status, risks, and recommendations clearly for senior customer stakeholders Continuously engage customers to understand further pain points and areas for more project engagements. Evaluate project timings with customers and adjust resource needs based on their feedback We're looking for someone who has: Significant experience (typically 7+ years) working with external enterprise customers to integrate complex systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive problems to resolution Thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating urgency, ownership, and the ability to execute effectively under tight timelines. Demonstrated ability to lead multi-workstream programs and coordinate cross-functional teams under ambiguity Excellent executive-level and technical communication skills, with a clear focus on solving customer problems Strong grounding in large-scale software development, with baseline knowledge of software systems Professional fluency in Korean and English

Requirements

  • A strong domain background in sensors, ADAS/AD, automotive, or a closely related field
  • Experience directly managing or leading teams of engineers in a formal leadership capacity
  • Has worked with commercially available tools (JIRA, etc.)
  • Proven track record of leading complex programs involving 15+ software and hardware engineers.
  • Is gifted with an ability to execute thoughtfully and efficiently, with a "no task is too big or too small" mindset to get the job done
