MOIA serves as a bridge between city government and immigrant communities by advising on and supporting the development and implementation of policies and programs that improve access to services for immigrant New Yorkers and speakers of other languages. This role leads community engagement efforts in assigned neighborhoods, ensuring that immigrant New Yorkers have access to accurate information, critical services, and meaningful opportunities to engage with the City government. The Senior Community Liaison develops and maintains strong relationships with community-based organizations, faith leaders and houses of worship, schools and healthcare facilities, advocacy groups, and other trusted local partners.
