Interior Design Assistant / Project PA (Freelance - Residential Project)

Responsibilities

• Source materials, finishes, fabrics, and soft furnishings in line with the project's design direction and colour schemes
• Coordinate and present samples, mood boards, and material options
• Assist with joinery design details, finishes, and technical drawings
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, workshops, and trades
• Place and manage orders, track deliveries, and maintain procurement schedules
• Monitor project timelines and ensure contractor and supplier deadlines are met
• Organise and maintain FF&E schedules, specifications, and project documentation
• Support with site visits, installations, and project coordination
• Assist with general project administration and day-to-day design support

Requirements

• Previous experience within residential interior design is essential
• Strong knowledge of soft furnishings, finishes, materials, and joinery
• Ability to read and assist with technical drawings and specifications
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicating with suppliers, contractors, and clients
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and design software preferred
• Experience with procurement and supplier coordination beneficial
• Full driving licence preferred
