Position Summary The Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Gas Engineering Team Lead role is focused on leading an engineering team that comprehensively owns, maintains, supports, and improves specialty and bulk gas equipment at Samsung. This position leads the engineering team and ensures effective collaboration with operations and maintenance teams, as well as customer groups, to provide world-class equipment performance in the supply of gases supporting fab production. This role is also responsible for supporting the planning, construction, startup and commissioning of new equipment, as well as the development and execution of projects to improve safety, quality, and reliability. Role and Responsibilities Here's What You'll Be Responsible For: Lead and direct manage a small team of ~9 engineers. Lead and participate in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world class safety performance. Provide technical expertise and ownership for gas systems, safety and quality standards, and improvements for those systems. Engineer will interact with operations teams, maintenance teams, construction teams, and equipment vendors to sustain and maintain equipment. Support technical troubleshooting of emergent equipment issues. Work with maintenance teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance to address failures or equipment improvements. Communicate and coordinate with Fab Engineering groups to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability. Continually drive group culture toward greater learning, development, and overall job satisfaction.
