As a Senior Java Software Architect, you will play a central role in shaping and evolving mission-critical enterprise applications with a meaningful social impact. Working across the full technology stack, you will develop both client and server-side components while ensuring high quality and long-term sustainability. Collaboration is a key aspect of the role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and external customers to transform requirements into reliable technical solutions. In addition, you will help advance engineering practices by contributing to build automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and efficient release processes. You bring extensive experience in enterprise software development and have successfully combined software architecture responsibilities with hands-on engineering throughout your career. A strong Java background is essential, including at least 10 years of professional experience and deep expertise in Java 11 and Java 17 . You are comfortable working with technologies such as Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, WildFly, and Java EE , and have a solid understanding of object-oriented design, clean code principles, and established design patterns. Experience in modernizing legacy systems and designing robust enterprise architectures will be highly valued. Your technical toolkit also includes PostgreSQL , JPA/Hibernate , JPQL , and CriteriaBuilder , enabling you to design and implement efficient backend solutions. Familiarity with modern development environments and DevOps practices-including Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Docker, Maven, and Eclipse Tycho -is expected. Beyond technical expertise, you communicate effectively across different audiences and build productive relationships with colleagues and customers alike. A good command of English (minimum B2 level) and fluent German (minimum C2 level) are essential for success in this role.
