QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Three (3) years of bus driving experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES , include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist the Transportation Services Coordinator as needed. Experience in the operation of midsize to large passenger vehicles/equipment or buses. Perform beginning-shift vehicle inspections prior to departure. Maintain a clean and sanitary bus/van/vehicle at all times. Report all mechanical issues to supervisor. Obey all traffic laws and college policies. Experience cleaning and/or fueling vehicles for use. Experience checking fluids and tire pressure. Experience inspecting vehicles or diagnosing mechanical issues. Create and foster a positive and safe atmosphere. Skill and ability to safely and appropriately work on the fleet. Ability to implement, maintain and ensures shop safety procedures at all times. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate and work effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public, and provide exceptional customer service. Ability to effectively communicate and understand safety regulations and hazards. Ability to work effectively; following through on assignments with minimal direction and fluctuating workload. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must perform any other duty the Department or College requires. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and the employee is occasionally required to perform job responsibilities in the outdoors and off site.
