Responsibilities

  • Hastings Deering is seeking a Laboratory Systems Engineer to own and optimise the digital backbone of our laboratory operations. Acting as the technical expert, you'll configure, support, and enhance laboratory systems, ensuring seamless data flow, system reliability, and compliance.
  • This is a practical, on-site role where you'll work closely with laboratory teams to solve real problems, improve workflows, and drive productivity through smart technology solutions.
  • In this role, you will:

  • Ensure secure, accurate data flow between lab and enterprise systems
  • Troubleshoot complex system and instrument issues on-site
  • Improve workflows, usability, and turnaround times
  • Partner with vendors and IT teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions

  • About you:
  • 6+ years in OT, lab systems, or enterprise technology support
  • Experience with integration, middleware, and data exchange
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions
