Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of writers to ensure creative campaigns adhere to the client's style and brand guidelines
  • Review and revise AI-generated content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax
  • Ensure correct tone, voice, clarity, flow, and structure of content
  • Support quality assurance within the creative team by proofreading documents accurately and reviewing final deliverables against the original copy to ensure it's free of errors
  • Update internal brand resources in our AI tools and internal systems as necessary; including nuances guides and other resources
  • Communicate and work with creative and client services teams to ensure projects stay on track and timelines are met
  • Stay up to date on all brand nuances and TOV guidance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Copy Editor at an agency, publication, or internal brand team is essential
  • Experience in the digital marketing space with AI tools a plus
  • Expert attention to detail; able to identify and correct stylistic, grammatical and typographical errors to ensure the final copy is error-free
  • Readiness to work at a fast pace on large marketing campaigns with multiple assets
  • An understanding of the importance of consistency across different touchpoints of a user journey
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and able to work independently

JOB PURPOSE The Copy Editor is responsible for proofreading, modifying, and approving AI-generated copy and communications for one of the world's largest telecommunication companies. This role requires outstanding attention to detail across high-visibility projects and is a vital bridge between the creative teams and the client, ensuring high-quality standards are met. We're looking for a human dictionary who understands the importance of delivering consistent, on-brand digital creative. They live and breathe brand nuances and guidelines. They know copy structure like the back of their hand. They can spot a speling mistake a mile away... They flag copy that contains lazy idioms. Plus, they'll work with a passionate, talented team of writers creating outstanding work. In your role, you will report to the Creative Director who will drive the strategy and direction for the creative team.
