Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget in partnership with the Director of Construction and project teams.
  • Align construction teams by coordinating closely with Field Operations and Quality leadership.
  • Monitor regional project progress and regularly updates the Director of Construction.
  • Review development and contract documents to identify risks and ensure compliance with Nexamp standards.
  • Approve third-party EPC invoices and verifies accuracy.
  • Support project managers with engineering and procurement needs.
  • Manage construction risk by reviewing insurance, waivers, warranties, finance requirements, and reporting.
  • Oversee project deliverables, schedules, and budgets across a large portfolio to reduce exposure and ensure successful execution.

Requirements

  • You will be hybrid 2-3 days every other week out of our Chicago, IL office. You will report to the Senior Director, Deployment.
  • 5+ years of construction management experience within the solar industry at a senior level Project Manager or higher.
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong administrative and technical skills, including computers, SCADA, data acquisition, and remote systems.
  • PV system and storage commissioning experience preferred; medium-voltage knowledge a plus .
  • OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Working knowledge of civil, electrical, and utility construction is preferred.
  • Professional trade licenses (e.g., CSL, NABCEP PV) are nice to have.
