We know that benefits matter, and that is why we offer a competitive benefits package for all eligible employees:Generous state-paid benefit allowance to help cover insurance premiums.A wide choice of insurance plans with no pre-existing condition exclusions or limitations.Flexible spending accounts for health care expenses and/or dependent care.A Retirement Savings Plan with a generous match.15 days of paid vacation and 15 days of sick leave for full-time employees the first year.11 paid holidays a year.Paid Maternity leave for eligible employees.Employee discounts with a variety of companies and venders.A Longevity Bonus for years of service.JOB SUMMARYDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe functions performed by employees in this job family will vary by level, but may include the following:Contacts taxpayers by phone, email, or in-person to notify of unpaid business tax liabilities or outstanding delinquencies and advise them on actions required to become tax compliant.Determines appropriate method of collection, which may include negotiating and establishing pay plan terms in accordance with section policy and tax laws.Resolves and collects unpaid tax liabilities and outstanding delinquencies.Establishes payment deadlines and monitors pay plans to ensure terms and conditions are followed.Completes all required actions to notify taxpayers of delinquent business taxes.Secures payment or initiates legal actions when required by law.Sets up businesses for hearings by creating cases within the One Link system.Educates taxpayers on the provisions of various tax laws, basis of liability, and assists taxpayers with filing state sales tax and remittance of payment through the online system, OkTAP.Provides summaries of findings for management review and corresponds with the taxpayer or representative concerning division and commission inquires.Examines, investigates, and reviews records, reports, and management practices to ensure legal compliance with state rules and statutes.Reviews applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and financial and administrative controls.Evaluates relevant data and aspects of situations and make appropriate decisions.Manages and prioritizes assigned caseload and provides services to taxpayers with little supervision.Identifies the most appropriate method to complete tasks and meet deadlines.May serve as the agency's witness for court proceedings as it pertains to the validity and collection of outstanding liabilities and delinquencies.Assists in projects or tasks as assigned, including those in other sections or divisions.COMPLEXITY OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESKnowledge ofBasic accounting methods and principles of business tax lawsOffice practices and procedures, including record maintenanceBusiness mathematics, spelling, punctuation, and grammarInvestigation techniques and methods for conducting researchComputer technology principles, terminology, and automated systemsFunctions and responsibilities of the divisionSkills inStrong interpersonal skills; active listeningVerbal & written communicationProficient in PC office software, Microsoft OfHealth insuranceVision insurancePaid time offFlexible schedulePerformance bonus
