About the role

Job Responsibilities Lead the preparation of market analyses and strategic insights to support investment decisions, strategic planning, and portfolio management across APAC (including the Philippines, Bangladesh, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, and India, among others). Own market intelligence coverage across key APAC markets, synthesizing macro, policy/regulatory, fundamental and sector developments into actionable insights for senior stakeholders. Support the continuous enhancement of in-house analytical tools such as Power BI, including structuring datasets and defining key metrics to support decision-making across markets. Conduct and oversee in-depth analysis of energy market developments across APAC, with a focus on the macro-environment, supply/demand fundamentals, policy/regulatory dynamics, and competitor activity. Translate insights into implications for business strategy and new energy-related opportunities, including low-carbon solutions. Lead market and commercial input to evaluate existing projects and new investment opportunities, including strategy alignment, risk assessment, and competitive positioning. Proactively communicate key market insights and implications to stakeholders across the company, HQ, and country offices to inform strategic planning and decision-making. Lead or contribute to the preparation of strategic and external communications, including materials for senior leadership, conference presentations, and panel engagements. Actively engage in exchanging relevant business information in the APAC energy market and develop a personal network with key stakeholders (industry players, advisors, and partners). Undertake additional strategic or analytical assignments aligned with the business priorities as required by the CSO, including cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, data analytics, or related field. A minimum of 3-4 years of working experience in the global power and/or gas (or related) industry with experience in business strategy and market analysis/research. A strong working knowledge of Asian energy markets is preferred. Ability to undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis and research across the power and gas/LNG industry in APAC, including, in order to provide informed views and decision-oriented insights on opportunities and risks for the company over the near/mid/long-term. Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the gas/LNG and fuel-to-power value chain. Proven ability to communicate analytical findings to senior stakeholders in a concise and structured manner. Excellent attention to detail and diligence when preparing written reports and presentations. Strong desire to work in a collegiate team culture and perform under pressure to meet deadlines. Advanced user of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and analytics tools. Experience in Power BI/Tableau, SQL and power market modelling are desirable.
