In this role, you will be responsible for pitching stories and guests, producing segments, assisting segment producers, coordinating field shoots, and securing high-profile guests for the show. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative newsroom environment and has a strong passion for politics, current events, and cultural stories driving the national conversation. You will be offered the following shift: Monday - Friday from 2 PM - 10 PM ET A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Pitch compelling stories, segments, and guests daily Book guests including politicians and newsmakers Conduct pre-interviews and compile research for guest appearances and segments Assist segment producers/writers with elements and segment production Build graphics, write banners, teases, and other editorial elements Help coordinate and arrange field shoots Assist with breaking news coverage and last-minute editorial needs Work closely with producers, writers, and bookers to execute a fast-paced nightly show
