Our current presence in Poland: Our Baltic Power offshore wind farm is the most advanced offshore wind project in Poland and the first to have reached the construction phase. In 2023, the project received a final investment decision (FID) as well as financing from 25 international institutions. Both onshore and offshore installations are underway at the moment. Baltic Power will be among the world's first projects to install 15 MW wind turbines and the first Polish offshore wind farm operating in the Baltic Sea. The Baltic Power farm will be able to cover 3% of the national electricity demand, which stands for the energy needs of over 1,5 million households in Poland. Based in Gdansk Poland the electrical Engineer will support with all technical aspects of the successful operation of the Baltic Power project. The Technical team within the BLP O&M organization will cover the main technical areas of WTG, BOP, Electrical and OT/SCADA. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Manage all Electrical topics related to O&M during Operations Technical review of Electrical items for proposed RAMS Provide Electrical input to HSE/Quality Inspections, RCA etc. Support O&M team with requested Electrical input Provide electrical input to Asset Integrity and performance management Participate in all Electrical related meetings requiring technical O&M input Support O&M team with Electrical input required for plans, processes, training, reporting etc. Ensure all Electrical technical input received from the O&M contractor is reviewed and approved as requested e.g. RAMS First point of contact on all Electrical O&M related matters Ensure that all Electrical related work performed by Contractors and/or Stakeholders is within the technical frame of the contracts (BoP O&M agreement, Authorities) Provide technical Electrical input to risks and provide input to OPEX budgeting Review and report on performance on Electrical during Operations Technical Oversight of maintenance plans related to Electrical scope for 3rd parties and O&M Contractors Technical oversight of Main Component Exchanges on Electrical Scope Technical Quality Assurance of O&M Contractor's work on Electrical Scope Support on various other technical ad-hoc related tasks related to O&M

Requirements

  • Experience & Education:
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Several years' experience in electrical engineering, ideally within offshore environments.
  • Experience inspecting and troubleshooting operational issues in wind turbines and offshore electrical systems
  • Understanding SCADA systems for remote turbine monitoring and data transfer.
  • Knowledge of grid interconnections (AC, DC, onshore and offshore) and compliance with transmission system requirements
  • Fluency in Polish and English.
