Your Role at Cabot The Category Senior Buyer is responsible for executing end-to-end procurement activities within assigned Logistics and Packaging category with a strong focus on Packaging, ensuring policy compliance and cost-effective, value-driven solutions. This role involves managing strategic sourcing events, negotiating contracts, and leveraging Coupa for purchase requisitions, approvals, procurement data, and supplier management. The Category Senior Buyer acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure operational efficiency, supply continuity, and continuous performance improvement. The primary focus of the role is to support the regional procurement managers, but also site leadership, tactical sourcing, category support and execution. How You Will Make an Impact Manage end-to-end purchasing process using Coupa, including requisition review, PO creation, purchasing form and template management, contracting, and approvals. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and GBS standards. Support request intake validation, buying channel compliance, and execution of approved sourcing and contracting decisions. Monitor and resolve issues related to invoices, deliveries, and supplier performance. Contribute to procurement cost improvement and savings target delivery. Lead sourcing (RFx) execution and negotiations in alignment with Category Managers defined strategy and supplier selection criteria. Support category managers in implementing sourcing strategies and supplier consolidation. Maintain accurate supplier data in Coupa, SharePoint and other systems and ensure onboarding compliance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and packaging suppliers to support demand forecasting, supply planning, and material availability. Partner with internal teams to understand requirements and provide guidance on procurement best practices. Act as a point of contact for queries related to Coupa processes and procurement policies. Own tactical execution for assigned category (Packaging & Logistics only). Monitor supplier performance and escalate strategic issues to Category Manager. Engage with Category Managers in other regions Using AI and other digital means to increase automation and overall process efficiency Support internal and external audit activities by ensuring procurement documentation, processes, and records are maintained in line with compliance requirements. What You Will Bring to Cabot Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field. 3-5 years experience in procurement or buying roles, preferably in manufacturing environment and for Packaging category. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Continuous improvement mindset using AI and other digital tools. Knowledge of procurement governance and compliance requirements. Detail-oriented and process-driven. Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of tactical sourcing and category execution. Understanding category traits (market conditions, suppliers, news, trends, performance metrics, and escalation protocols). Knowledge of global procurement policies and audit requirements. Experience with Coupa or similar e-procurement platforms. Fluent in English (strong verbal and written), Spanish or Chinese language skills will be considered as advantage. Additional Information: Permanent contract. Working hours: 10:00 - 18:30. Health insurance from first day of work. Monthly allowance & yearly bonus. Hybrid work schedule (3 days on site and 2 days' work from home). Salary: 2300 - 3150 EUR Gross. The final salary offer will depend on the candidate's previous experience and qualifications.
