Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing industrial hygiene concepts, principles and practices, applicable to planning and carrying out all industrial hygiene programs concerned with a wide variety of industrial sites and research laboratories. Experience applying knowledge required to recognize and evaluate occupational health hazards, including those for which the nature and extent of hazard is not completely understood. Experience devising a variety of control measures, including ventilation, shielding, material substitution, change in work procedures, isolation, education, and personal protective equipment. Experience applying knowledge required to recognize and evaluate proposed new work processes and/or materials and or recommend measures to minimize health hazards. Experience using DOEHRS-IH and making statistical exposure assessments is preferred. Experience with AIHA's Exposure Risk Assessment & Management Tools is preferred. Registration as an AIHA Exposure Decision Analysis specialist is preferred. GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing knowledge of industrial hygiene concepts, principles, and practices, applicable to planning and carrying out all industrial hygiene programs for Navy and Marine Corps activities concerned with a wide variety of industrial sites and research laboratories. Recognizing and evaluating occupational health hazards. Experience recognizing and evaluating occupational health hazards. Experience evaluating proposed new work processes and/or materials and or recommend measures to minimize health hazards. Experience collecting industrial hygiene samples and utilizing industrial hygiene sampling equipment. GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing knowledge of industrial hygiene concepts, principles, and practices. Recognizing occupational health hazards. Devising a variety of control measures, including ventilation, shielding, material substitution, change in work procedures, isolation, education, personal protective devices. Evaluating new work processes. GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing professional knowledge of industrial hygiene concepts, principles, and practices, applicable to planning and carrying out all industrial hygiene programs for Navy and Marine Corps activities concerned with a wide variety of industrial sites and research laboratories. Recognizing and evaluating occupational health hazards, including those for which the nature and extent of hazard is not completely understood.
