Responsibilities

  • Leads the design and development of fuel nozzle models for next-generation aircraft and advanced fuel delivery components for gas turbine engines.
  • Develops and optimizes nozzle geometries, flow paths, and atomization features to meet performance and reliability targets.
  • Applies DFM, DFA, GD&T, and tolerance analysis to ensure functional fit, manufacturability, and assembly quality.
  • Works through complex design challenges involving conflicting requirements, non-standard materials, and coordination across multiple teams.
  • Independently plans and performs component tests, including flow testing, spray characterization, structural analysis, and durability validation.
  • Participates in and promotes process improvements within assigned areas.
  • Provides direct support to sales and development by contributing to proposals and design reviews.
  • Collaborates closely with manufacturing engineering, quality, suppliers, and customers to support producibility and resolve technical issues.
  • Participates in peer reviews, FMEAs, and risk assessments, and recommends design changes based on test results and analysis.
