About the role

The position is a Supervisory Equal Employment Specialist with the responsibility to direct and manage the Western and Central Civil Rights Service Areas (WCSA) in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Civil Rights (ACR). The incumbent is the recognized subject matter expert and consultant on Civil Rights (CR) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) assuring full implementation of core EEO regulations, principles, functions and procedures. To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as: - Experience providing expert strategic and operational management advice, guidance, and leadership as principal advisor to a senior executive and/or senior-level staff on a broad range of highly complex, controversial and sensitive issues. - Leadership experience which incorporated diversity and inclusion initiatives into business planning.
