Research Support Officer (Pre Award)

The interviews are expected to be held on Wednesday 1st July 2026. This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are looking for a professional and proactive individual to provide high quality, customer focussed, pre-award research support to our Faculty Research Office (FRO). You will work closely with the Senior Research Support Administrator (Pre-Award) and Principal Investigators to support costing of projects whilst following University and Funders' rules and regulations. You will be part of the University's Research Operations service, but will be deployed to the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences and will report to the Senior Research Support Administrator (Pre-Award). You will have substantial experience of working in a research finance support role, be an excellent communicator and be able to build strong networks. You will have strong problem solving and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively to tight deadlines. Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role may only be suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants if they are eligible for salary concessions.
