About the position: This announcement is for the Eglin Lodging Facilities and will be used for the NAF Hiring Event at CareerSource Okaloosa Walton located at 409 Racetrack Rd NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547 on 24 JUN 2026 from 0830-1400. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience in supervising the work of subordinate employees in accomplishing custodial work. Experience and knowledge must have been gained in a military lodging program or commercial hotel/motel housekeeping. Must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions and speak English. Must be able to use hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools or equipment. Must be physically able to frequently lift and empty wastebaskets, frequently pushing carts, weighing more than 100 pounds, loaded with dirty laundry or wastepaper; and occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Must have or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license.
