Responsibilities

  • Operating Expenses: Process and record Operating Expense transactions and accruals, including Payroll Expenses, Travel & Entertainment Expenses, and Depreciation and Amortization Expense
  • General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, with primary ownership over Cash, Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, and Payroll accounts
  • Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, completing balance sheet account reconciliations, and contributing to monthly variance flux commentary
  • Accounts Payable: Support accounts payable operations via vendor maintenance
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and provide documentation, schedules, and support for external audits and internal reviews; serve as a key point of contact for auditor inquiries related to assigned account areas
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with FP&A, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data processing
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; support ad hoc financial analyses as requested by senior leadership
  • Systems and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve accuracy and efficiency; assist with system implementations or upgrades as needed
  • Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Ability to manage time effectively with multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to proactively share progress and seek guidance when necessary
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve; actively seeks ways to improve processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • CPA or working towards a CPA is a plus
  • Experience in consumer goods, retail, or DTC/e-commerce environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with financial close tools and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred
  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience
