About the role
This position is located at the Nevada Field Office. As the Deputy Assistant Manager for Environment, Safety and Health, this position will be responsible for the leadership, direction, and implementation of activities for oversight of the industrial hygiene, Worker Safety and Health, explosive safety, environmental compliance, aviation safety, electrical, Integrated Safety Management, radiation protection, nuclear safety, criticality safety, and emergency management programs at the NNSS. Qualifying Specialized Experience for the EN-04 level examples: Experience as a DOE Facility Representative or Safety System Oversight Representative conducting oversight at DOE Nuclear Facilities-Experience as a subject matter expert implementing or evaluating safety management programs for high-hazard facilities (e.g.,nuclear, chemical, explosives) Experience with developing Documented Safety Analysis (DSAs)/Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs), implementing, or performing oversight of, 10 CFR 830 requirements. Experience with conducting formal audits and assessments of high-hazard facilities or activities independently, leading teams, or participating as a Team Member.
