About the role
Full-time: 35 hours per week Fixed-term: until 31 st August 2027 The Careers Service plays a vital role in enhancing students' employability and supporting students to achieve satisfying and rewarding futures. The Opportunity: We are looking for an outstanding, creative careers professional, capable of delivering professional, impartial careers education, information and guidance to undergraduates, postgraduates and recent graduates of the University, to enable them to make a successful transition to their chosen career path. To develop relationships and work collaboratively with academics and other university staff to develop and enhance the employability of our students and graduates, embedding career learning more closely in the academic experience. To contribute to Service delivery and projects to further support students' career development. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in contributing towards the University's strategic theme of outstanding student experience. This post will support delivery to students and graduates at scale and individually, with responsibility for developing strategy for work with and relationships in specific Academic School/s. This is a full-time position however we are open to considering part-time (to 0.8FTE) or flexible working patterns. Your skills and attributes for success: Applicants will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships, and to use negotiating and influencing strategies. Self-motivated individuals who can thrive in an agile environment and respond positively to change. Ability to manage competing priorities, whilst contributing to team and service goals is essential. Experience in career and/or professional development, ideally with professional qualifications in CEIAG or a closely related field.
