About the role

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. *** 11pm to 7:30 am - Sunday - Thursday schedule and off Friday and Saturday nights ***

Responsibilities

• Must maintain requirements dictated in clinical ladder.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.

• Education and Certification Requirements:
• Accredited Program: Surgical Technologist (Required)BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
• Additional Job Information:
• Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision with a positive disposition. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Required Work Experience: One (1) year of experience required.
• Other Information: Certified Surgical Technologist certification (CST or TS-C) is preferred.
