About the role
You will serve as an INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST in the NAVAL INFORMATION WARFARE TRAINING DETACHMENT NORFOLK of NAVMETOCPRODEVCEN. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying advanced knowledge of instructional systems design and learning theory to develop, update, and distribute complex training courses, instructional materials, and multimedia aids for Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC) operations. Experience serving as an authoritative consultant for technical training programs, including analyzing and interpreting forecast products, meteorological satellite data and METOC Tactical Decision Aids (TDAs). Experience independently developing and managing curriculum, to include Business Case Analysis (BCA) and Front-End Analysis that supports learning objectives validated by Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA). Experience establishing and maintaining professional relationships with leading practitioners, researchers and technical experts to integrate the latest technological and educational developments into training programs.
