About The Role This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available immediately until April 2027. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager. Salary will be £30,628 per annum pro rata on Grade D subject to knowledge, skills and experience. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home. About the Role We're looking for a organised, personable administrator to join the Academic Support Administration (ASA) Team. You'll be the first point of contact for academics with day-to-day queries and provide operational support to Heads of Department. This is a varied role and we're a small, friendly team - so flexibility and a collaborative approach are essential. Key Responsibilities Diary management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements for Heads of Department Expense claims, purchase orders, in compliance with university financial and HR policies Onboarding new starters and managing office operations including room bookings, IT equipment, and parking permits Coordinating Vivas, Programme Boards, internal events, and guest speaker series Temporary staffing and Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (PTA) administration Producing the fortnightly UEBS newsletter and scanning/distributing MCQ results What We're Looking For Proven administrative experience in a busy, people-facing environment Strong organisational and communication skills Confident handling financial processes and purchasing procedures Able to manage a varied workload and shift priorities when needed A team player who is approachable, reliable, and happy to help wherever needed Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
