About the role
The Strategic Lead will support the establishment and strategic direction of the Centre for Innovation in Teaching, contributing to its growth as a key capability across the University. What Success Looks Like: Strategic plans and frameworks are developed and guide delivery of Centre priorities. Teaching innovation initiatives are designed, implemented, and evaluated effectively. Strong stakeholder relationships support collaborative delivery and partnerships. Governance, reporting, and risk processes are maintained and support decision making. About You You will bring a combination of strategic capability, stakeholder engagement expertise, and experience delivering initiatives within complex organisational environments. Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience in strategic planning, program design, or evaluation. Strong understanding of contemporary teaching and learning practices across education contexts. Demonstrated capability in stakeholder engagement and partnership management. High-level communication skills, including development of strategic documentation and facilitation of workshops. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with high digital literacy.

Part-time (0.6 FTE | 21 hours per week), fixed-term position for 12 months (Any extension would be subject to operational requirements, funding and compliance with the Fair Work Act). Based at Western's Kingswood (Penrith) campus, with flexible working arrangements Salary: HEW Level 8 $71,381 - $79,241 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading (Pro-rata based on 0.6 FTE) NSW Employee Working with Children Clearance Required Lead strategy and delivery for a new Centre advancing teaching innovation and digital capability.
