Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate booking and processing of trades within the order management and portfolio management systems according to established procedures and expectations.
- Perform daily reconciliation of positions and cash balances, identifying discrepancies and collaborating with relevant parties to resolve any issues promptly.
- Liaise effectively with prime brokers and fund administrators regarding cash breaks, position breaks, and other operational matters requiring attention or clarification.
- Execute monthly swap resets diligently while monitoring broker data to ensure consistency and accuracy across all records.

- Participate actively in automation projects aimed at enhancing processes and workflows under the supervision of senior team members.
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives by providing feedback, assisting with documentation, and helping implement new solutions as directed.
- Collaborate closely with both internal stakeholders such as portfolio managers and compliance teams, as well as external partners including prime brokers and fund administrators.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Senior Operations Manager or other senior staff members to support the smooth functioning of the operations department.
- What you bring:
- Hold a degree with at least 2-5 years of relevant experience in back or middle office operations within hedge funds, long-only funds, or service providers supporting these sectors.
- Demonstrate an analytical mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of accuracy under time constraints.
- Possess strong communication skills complemented by excellent interpersonal abilities that foster positive relationships with colleagues and external partners alike.
- Showcase experience or exposure to project management or process enhancement initiatives; prior involvement in automation projects would be advantageous but not essential.
- Display familiarity with portfolio management systems (PMS), Bloomberg terminals, or matching systems; practical knowledge is preferred but not mandatory for success in this role.
- Exhibit a collaborative spirit as a dependable team player who also demonstrates initiative when approaching new challenges or assignments.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards learning new concepts quickly while adapting flexibly to evolving business needs within the operations function.
