About the role
As Singapore continues to grow as a Global Financial Hub, our Financial Advisory Services practice is expanding. We are seeking versatile, dedicated professionals to support a wide range of valuation and transaction engagements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct industry and macroeconomic research using online databases and public information to benchmark performance and assess market trends.
- Analyze historical financial and operational results of target companies by reviewing accounting records and interviewing management.
- Prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information, including quality of earnings and working capital, to assess trends affecting cash flow and deal valuation.
- Develop financial and valuation models for transaction support, investment appraisal, and financial reporting.
- Perform business valuations for transactions and financial reporting.
- Support assurance teams by reviewing third-party valuation reports, including Purchase Price Allocation, financial instruments, and impairment testing of goodwill and intangibles.
- Challenge key valuation assumptions and methodologies to ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) / IFRS and International Valuation Standards (IVS).
- Assist in researching technical valuation and accounting issues to evaluate their impact on transaction valuation and structuring.
- Assist in preparing reports and schedules for clients and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively by demonstrating quality, sharing responsibility, supporting colleagues, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with client personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a quantitative field, with a strong academic record.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of work experience in a similar industry. Audit experience is an advantage.
- Strong numerical, financial, and modeling skills, with a solid understanding of financial statements.
- Sound commercial judgment and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Passion for delivering exceptional, high-quality client service.
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, CVA (Chartered Valuer and Appraiser), or active pursuit of these credentials.
