https://www.jmsmucker.com/careers/why-smucker/employee-benefitsYour OpportunityYou will be able to lead and contribute in meaningful ways at our McCalla, AL facility, where we will produce the very popular Uncrustables sandwiches and are also looking forward to development of new and innovative products.KEY RESPONSBILITIESManage parts counter and assist customers when needed to help find parts within OracleConduct daily cycle counts (Inventories) and work all issues with inventoryConduct daily house-keeping proceduresMaintain 5S area of owner ship within storeroom standardsStock and retrieve parts weighing approximately 60 lbs.Ability to climb and descend ladders during parts stocking and retrieval processIssue parts to work orders or reservationsRestock shelves with incoming partsDaily Tracking/Monitoring of Parts ReservationWork Reservation Pick listRequisition originator for storeroomCustomer and Vendor interface with technical issues for spare partsDaily work to clean up Storeroom Inventory by identifying and eliminating bad data (descriptions {OEM items}, blocking items that are free issue or deleted to keep from being able to reorder or place reservations against.Daily work Dead Stock issues with inventoryDaily focus areas, S/R inventory level, Inventory reduction; 5S standardPurchasing interface with eBuyers. Working PO problems.Work Material Reservation Reports to correct problems with unreleased or quantity issues.Work Out of Stock Incidents.Ship out all repairable materials to vendorsStrong working knowledge of Maintenance Work Order System (i.e., create/change work orders, create/change reservations)Strong working knowledge of Reservation System (i.e., create/change reservations; manual and auto generated)Issue/Deliver Emergency Work OrdersReceive back into stock returned partsDo monthly shaft rotations of all motorsFind locations for new parts being received into storeroomDeliver parts at appointed delivery times.Prepare all outgoing parts for shipment to vendorsImplementing and maintaining Storeroom StandardsMaintain monthly Q & S computer trainings - complete on-time without follow-upManage work schedule and time to maximize efficiency and customer support needs, as requiredThe Right Role for YouEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalentLANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, write, and interpret documents such as a safety rules, GMPs, and general instructions. This position is entry level, and it pays $21.32 / per hour
(Night Shift Only $2 Shift Differential not included in hourly rates)
