About the role
Job Description The duties and responsibilities of a Teacher shall include the following but not limited to: Plan, prepare and deliver lessons for GCE 'A' level Literature (Paper 1 and/or the Elective paper in Romantic poetry using the revised syllabus) Tailor and apply pedagogy that may attend to different learnings of the students Evaluate and provide feedback on students' performance via assignments and assessments Monitor students' social development through counselling and working with parents Work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. parents) to ensure meeting the pastoral and cognitive needs of the students In-charge of at least one co-curricular activity and/or committee in addition to civics tutorship Participate in departmental meetings, parents' teacher meetings and any other school-wide training events Any other duties assigned by the School Job Requirements A good undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is preferred Proficiency in the use of education technology or data analytics will be an advantage Comfortable with classroom and student management Passion to teach the age group of students from 13 to 18 years old Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good team player This is a 2-year contract (renewable) - for direct applicants, not seconded applicants Note: If you are currently a teacher with MOE, please submit the following together with your application: MOE CV (Downloadable from HRMS portal) Academic Certificates and Transcripts (Highest Qualification and Teaching Qualification)
