Roles and Responsibilities: The job encompasses but is not limited to the following Roles and Responsibilities: - End-to-end procurement: Procurement of direct & Indirect parts/materials. Handle the entire process of procuring Plastic, Metal, Electrical/Solar components and raw materials. Handling Raw Materials, all type child parts (Domestic & Import) and import Shipment clearance. Strong knowledge of procurement practices with understanding of accounts payable practices - Vendor management: Vendor development. Manage and negotiate with vendors/subcontractors for the best prices and terms. Timely implementation of savings. Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement - PO issuance and order tracking: Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and track orders for timely delivery. Make purchase decisions in accordance with company procedure and regulations - Shortage management: Manage shortages and coordinate inventory to ensure availability. Ensure timely availability of parts to avoid any line stoppage - Sourcing: Domestic & International sourcing and import compliance. Developing new sources with focus on cost saving, delivery lead time, quality Etc. - Customs clearance: Manage customs clearance, duties, and documentation in coordination with Logistics - Inventory optimization: Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components and optimize inventory levels. Ensure optimum inventory levels at any point of time. Ensure no dead stock while implementation of ECN - Planning systems: Implement planning systems for production and procurement alignment. Planning of raw material, child parts with key focus on production and Inventory. - Material planning, procurement of raw materials, raise and verify purchase order, monitor rate contract of current suppliers as per terms and conditions. - Monthly material planning and Issuing MRP (Material Requirement Planning) for BOM (Bill of Materials) based on orders and forecast. - Proven track record in procurement, imports, logistics, and material planning - Evaluate and develop supplier relationships, conducting regular performance audits to maintain compliance with ISO standards and environmental policies YEARS OF EXPERIENCE - 5-8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN SCM, Purchase & Planning QUALIFICATION - BE in Mechanical from reputed Institution PREFARABLE IND - MNC exposure in Plastics Injection Molding, stamping & assembly of plastic parts in automation industry atmosphere COMPETENCIES Technical Sound knowledge of Integrated Management System (IMS) Working exposure in ERP environment-Preferably SAP Strong negotiation skills Advanced MS-office, Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
