Join our team and start your journey today! If you are an International Trade Compliance ("ITC") professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Brantford (Ontario), Canada, you will provide guidance and support with respect to complying with import and export laws and regulations to Copeland locations in Canada, and will routinely interface with Copeland businesses in the U.S. and other world areas. Your responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the Senior Manager ITC for North America. You will exercise independent judgment and decision-making within the scope of this role while collaborating with personnel across multiple levels and functions. AS A MANAGER, ITC FOR CANADA, YOU WILL: Lead country-specific objective setting, measurement, reporting, organizational development, and process improvement initiatives Develop and maintain ITC policies and procedures and facilitate best-practice sharing Monitor and communicate applicable regulatory developments and directives and ensure timely and effective implementation of corresponding controls Facilitate and oversee interactions with external legal counsel, brokers/forwarders, and trade authorities Lead implementation and enhancement of ITC solutions/applications Serve as the ITC audit management system liaison for businesses in Canada (review/approve all improvement plans, open/close findings, track/escalate past due findings, provide business units support and guidance necessary to address findings in a timely manner) Support new acquisition onboarding and divestiture activities Conduct training and site visits for businesses in Canada Address ITC questions and escalations from business personnel Other ITC tasks and projects as assigned SCHEDULE: This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Four-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent education outside the U.S., preferably in business, international trade, supply chain, legal studies, or a related field) 8-10 years of demonstrated trade compliance experience Excellent communication skills and proven ability to independently and proactively solve problems Proficient use of the English language (both spoken and written) Ability to clearly interpret and apply trade laws and regulations as they relate to everyday situations Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize and execute Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Travel up to ~20% Must be Authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now and in the future PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Graduate degree (e.g., MBA, JD, or equivalent education outside the U.S.) Seven or more years of demonstrated Canadian trade compliance experience Customs Broker License or similar certifications (e.g., Certified Import Specialist, Certified Export Specialist, etc.) 2+ years of prior supervisory experience Experience with Oracle business systems and/or Oracle Global Trade Management Proficiency in French and/or other languages commonly used in Canada We invest in our employees to ensure they have the marketplace knowledge, skills, and competencies to compete and lead in a global economy. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. In accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA), the salary range for this role is $97,900 - 176,200 CAD.
