About the role
As a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice, you will help drive our goals by: Supporting the mechanical maintenance team with planned and reactive maintenance activities across site Learning to maintain and repair mechanical plant equipment including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, valves and pipework Assisting with fault finding, inspections and basic mechanical fitting under supervision Following safe systems of work and site safety procedures, taking responsibility for personal safety and correct use of PPE Completing apprenticeship coursework and maintaining a training and development portfolio Key skills that will help you succeed in this role: A minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A*-C including English, Maths and Science An interest in engineering, mechanics or practical subjects A strong awareness of safety and willingness to follow procedures Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work The ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with others Even if you only match some of the skills, we'd love to hear from you to discuss further!
