Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Source, screen, and recruit skilled workers, engineers, project managers, and other construction-related roles.

  • Performance Management: Monitor employee performance, especially site-based workers, to ensure project efficiency.
  • Support managers in conducting appraisals, setting performance benchmarks, and recognizing high performers.
  • Develop retention strategies for critical construction roles.
  • Workforce Planning & Deployment: Collaborate with project managers to plan manpower allocation across multiple construction sites.
  • Manage workforce schedules, shift rotations, and site transfers as needed.
  • Forecast workforce requirements based on project timelines.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Partner with safety officers to promote a safe working environment.
  • Address occupational health concerns and manage insurance claims related to workplace injuries.
  • Organize health and wellness programs for employees.
  • HR Policies & Procedures: Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies specific to construction operations.
  • Ensure policies are inclusive, promote diversity, and respect local cultural norms (especially on international sites).
  • Regularly review and update policies to align with industry and organizational changes.
  • Payroll & Compensation: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate salary payments for site and office staff.
  • Handle benefits administration, such as overtime, bonuses, and allowances for construction workers.
  • Address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • HR Reporting:
  • Provide regular reports on recruitment, attrition, workforce demographics, and training outcomes.
  • Analyze trends in employee data to improve HR practices and support business objectives.
