As a Carrier Sales Specialist at RXO, you will source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move available freight in a timely and cost-effective manner. Please note this is an on-site role located in our Atlanta office What your day-to-day will look like: Cultivate strong core carrier relationships while negotiating and securing carriers to move freight Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process Ensure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, freight concerns, or other issues as necessary Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times while considering factors such as weather, traffic, mileage, and service requirements Follow established procedures and protocols regarding HVS and HRC loads to ensure shipment integrity and protect the RXO brand Accurately maintain and update information within company operating systems Conduct research in available databases for potential leads and make cold calls to prospects Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure carrier charges are accurate Peak Project Participation This role includes participation in RXO's dedicated Peak Project supporting Local or Expedite accounts from November 10 through December 24 . During this assignment, team members will support a critical 24/7 customer operation in a fast-paced environment. Due to the nature of the operation, schedules will rotate based on business and customer coverage needs. Project Incentives & Perks Team members who successfully complete the Peak Project will be eligible for: A one-time completion bonus opportunity of up to $3,000 based on individual and company performance metrics, less any overtime earned during the project Company-provided paid time off from December 24 through January 2, separate from and not deducted from accrued PTO balances At a minimum, you'll need: 1 year of sales experience It'd be great if you also have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience 1 year of transportation experience 2 years of sales or customer service experience The ability to exercise judgment and discretion while functioning independently within authorized limits Does this sound like you?
