Job Responsibilities : As an Data Engineer Intern, you will join a cross-functional team where you will be trained and guided by experienced engineers throughout the software development life cycle. You will gain hands-on experience in building data pipelines, managing data systems, and supporting analytics use cases, while gradually developing your technical skills and understanding of data engineering practices. Responsibilities: Guided Data Pipeline Development: work alongside experienced engineers to learn how data pipelines are designed, built, and maintained, supporting data collection, processing, and transformation tasks. Data Integration Exposure: assist in integrating data from databases, APIs, and third-party services under close guidance, gaining hands-on experience with real-world data systems. Database Fundamentals in Practice: support database-related tasks (RDBMS and NoSQL), including writing basic queries, understanding data structures, and learning optimization techniques with mentorship. ETL Learning & Implementation: participate in ETL processes to understand how data is cleaned, transformed, and prepared for analytics and reporting use cases. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: contribute to documenting data flows, pipeline logic, and system components as part of learning how production systems are maintained. Learning & Growth Focus: engage in continuous learning through code reviews, mentorship, and hands-on tasks, applying best practices in data engineering tools and workflows. Pre-Requisites : Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of databases (SQL; familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar is a plus). Basic programming knowledge in Python (or similar languages). Understanding of fundamental data concepts (ETL, data pipeline, data warehouse - academic level is acceptable).
