Responsibilities

  • Eligibility & Requirements
  • LMSA Membership: Must be an active member of the Latino Medical Student Association.
  • Academic Credit Requirement. Candidates must provide documentation from their institution confirming they will receive course credit for this internship.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex advocacy goals to diverse health professionals.
  • Remote Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple workstreams via digital tools (Slack, Zoom, CRM).
  • Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and inclusion.

Vot-ER and Latino Medical Student Association: Partnerships & Civic Health Intern Organization: Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) Reporting to: Deputy Director of Partnerships Location: Remote Duration: 2026 SUMMER & FALL Compensation: Academic Credit (Required) Expected Hours: 15 to 20 hours per week Role Overview The Partnerships & Civic Health Intern will serve as a critical link between the Latino Medical Student Association and Vot-ER, supporting Vot-ER as we continue to grow and deepen relationships with health institutions across the country. This role is designed for a proactive, detail-oriented student leader who is passionate about the intersection of health and democracy. You will be responsible for deepening current organizational ties, onboarding new partners, and spearheading a specialized initiative focused on the Emergency Patient Voting (EPV) Program.
