As the Commercial Underwriter you will be responsible for reviewing prospective clients' business within the Victorian region. Your new role As a Commercial Underwriter in the Trade Credit Team, your key responsibilities will include: Underwrite existing policies in accordance with organisational policy and underwriting standards Plan and implement a strategy to attract and retain high value customers and to improve poor performing policies Communication with direct and general brokered policyholders regarding renewals, credit limits and any other documentation required of them Monitor client and market requirements and client feedback by conducting client calls / visits Ensure all documentation is accurate and complies with organisation guidelines Provide efficient and timely service & problem-solving solutions to brokers and clients Develop and maintain good working relationships with all customers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders Maintain awareness and understanding of current market conditions Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records About you To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience; Trade Credit experience will be an advantage, but is not essential Broad insurance industry experience Established customer/broker relationships Excellent understanding of class specific underwriting Understanding of relevant Insurance market conditions Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and use for decision making
