Hours are Monday - Thursday 3:15 p.m. - 12:45 a.m. Overtime and Friday's as required. $2.00/hour shift premium. Additional 4.0 hours compensation each week at regular base rate. Subject to change. The Disc Fabricator plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process, responsible for manufacturing various rupture disc products according to OE Procedures, lot cards, drawings, and work orders. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute directly to the production of high-quality pressure relief solutions. Key Job Responsibilities: Determine the required thickness of disk material using established formulas and procedures. Cut materials using cutting tables or square shears. Set up the proper die in hydraulic or air press. Blank and form material while conducting burst testing. Adjust burst pressure through annealing or stress relieving in heat treat ovens. Perform temperature testing if required. Accurately record pertinent lot card data, stamp disk name tags, and attach them to the disk assembly. Effectively operate air and hydraulic presses, ovens, power and hand shears, nibblers, punches, layout equipment, punch presses, and any other equipment necessary for the fabrication process. Assure that all shipments are accurate, meeting specification requirements, current work instructions and dispatched on time. Proactively notify the appropriate supervisor of any arising problems, while developing effective work plans to maintain job schedules. Conduct meticulous checks and implement necessary corrections on all parts to exceed customer expectations. Effective verbal communication skills exhibiting OE Values and Behaviors. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Aptitude in applying basic mathematical concepts for measurements and calculations, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Competence in problem-solving involving several variables in standardized situations. Basic computer skills to navigate business systems and preform data entry. Attention to detail in data entry to the ERP System for inventory transactions (kitting jobs) and clocking into jobs to accurately record time on the job. Experience using business systems such as SAP, Epicor, Oracle, or D365. Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines. Effective multitasking capabilities, enabling efficient workflow management.
