Job Description MISSION : The Functional Domain Director leads the end-to-end delivery, performance, and modernization of all products and applications within the assigned Functional Domain. He/She ensures full alignment between business priorities and IS&T capabilities through the mirrored Domain, guaranteeing value creation, operational excellence, and digital transformation. The role is mainly accountable for: Domain strategy & roadmap Application delivery & portfolio execution Run & production stability Budget, vendor, and resource management Compliance, architecture alignment, and modernization Performance KPIs and continuous improvement Having a coordination role across domains and at portfolio level, they have a shared accountability for global IS&T delivery and contribute to : IS&T Global priorisation, Dependency & Capacity Awareness, Alignment with IS&T portfolio and delivery constraints, Cross-domain arbitrations, not only local optimisation MAIN RESPONSABILITIES : 1. Domain Strategy & Governance Define and maintain the IT roadmap for the domain, ensuring alignment with business strategies, IS&T vision, architecture, security, QA, and data governance standards, and modernization objectives. Structure and govern the domain portfolio of initiatives, ensuring prioritization based on value, feasibility, dependencies, and resource constraints. Contribute actively to IS&T portfolio prioritization, ensuring that domain initiatives are aligned with overall IT strategy, delivery capacity, and business value across all domains. Ensure that backlog prioritization and roadmap decisions within the domain are consistent with portfolio-level decisions and delivery commitments. Represent the domain in IS&T governance forums, strategic committees, and cross-domain review boards, providing clear recommendations based on value, urgency, dependencies, risks, and resource constraints. 2. Product, Project & Delivery Management Oversee end-to-end delivery of domain initiatives, ensuring expected scope, timelines, quality, and cost targets are met. Ensure Product Team Managers, Product Managers, BAs, Functional leads, Solution Architects, and Engineering teams work in coordinated, integrated delivery mode. Ensure domain priorities are balanced against global IS&T constraints, avoiding silo-driven prioritization and local optimization. Identify, assess, and manage cross-domain dependencies impacting projects and product evolutions, in close collaboration with Portfolio Management and Project Managers, including major transformation initiatives. Anticipate resource contention and delivery conflicts between domain initiatives and transversal programs, and proactively propose trade-offs or sequencing options. Ensure integration of modern engineering practices (DevOps, CI/CD, automation, observability) into delivery activities. Validate architectural decisions, technical feasibility, and delivery readiness for all initiatives. 3. Run, Stability & Operational Excellence Own domain-level run performance, including stability KPIs, SLA adherence, incident rate, MTTR, and production quality. Steer L2 and L3 support activities in collaboration with SW Engineering, IT Ops, and QA. Drive proactive incident prevention, technical debt reduction, and obsolescence remediation. Guarantee compliance with audit, security, data privacy, and legal/ regulatory requirements. 4. Resource, Budget & Vendor Management Manage domain budget (CapEx/OpEx), cost allocations, vendor contracts, and license models. Ensure accurate resource capacity planning, covering internal teams and external partners. Monitor vendor performance, delivery SLAs, and contribute to sourcing strategy decisions and vendor selections. Ensure the domain maintains the right mix of skills to support modernization and business expectations. Ensure high availability and performance during peak traffic periods. 5. Stakeholder Management & Business Interlock Act as the IT single point of contact for business leadership within the domain. Ensure structured intake, qualification, and prioritization of business demands. Provide transparent reporting on roadmap progress, risks, incidents, and value realization. Manage alignment with other Functional Domains on transversal processes and projects, dependencies, data exchanges, and end-to-end flows... 6. Transformation & Modernization Leadership Lead modernization activities: API-first, microservices, cloud adoption, UX improvements, system simplification, and legacy decoupling. Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture & Data to ensure long-term sustainability of domain solutions. Promote continuous improvement, standardization, industrialized delivery, and quality-by-design. 7.
