About the role

The position of Project Controls Manager is responsible for performing project planning, scheduling, overall planning, cost estimation and control , project reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a planning, forecasting and reporting system for the overall project .
  • Regular review of cost and schedule metrics.
  • Update forecasts for cost and schedule .
  • Regular reporting of the monitored activities .
  • Receive frequent surveillance over job activities .
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals .

  • Review change orders.

  • Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering , Construction Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of post-baccalaureate experience on heavy civil construction projects bid at $200 million or more with/in:
  • Responsibility leading a team of construction professionals to support budget management, scheduling, and procurement functions ;
  • analyzing performance and workload data to help develop and implement procedural changes, new methods, or automated systems as appropriate , in order to increase purchasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness ;
  • working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry;
  • applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel to conduct f orecast ing and m onthly r eporting, c ost c ontrol, d eviation a nalysis, and r isk and o pportunities a ssessments
  • Experience working in Procore for do cument c ontrol, q uantity a nalysis & v erification, q uality r eporting, and p roduction d aily r eports
  • Experience using SAP for f orecast ing and m onthly r eporting, and c ost c ontrol
  • Experience working in Primavera P6 Scheduling software to conduct f orecast ing and m onthly r eporting, d eviation a nalysis, r isk and o pportunities a ssessments, c ritical p ath a ssessments, s chedule e valuation, and s ubmittal to c lient and s tate DOT
  • Experience using MicroStation for f orecast ing and m onthly r eporting, c ost c ontrol, and q uantity a nalysis & v erification
  • Experience working with ATSER for c ost c ontrol, p roduction d aily r eports, and d eviation a nalysis
