English Teacher

About the role

Job Responsibilities: Conduct English literacy lessons for children aged 2.5 to 12 years old using a structured reading curriculum. Teach pre-reading, phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and language development skills. Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom resources. Mark students' work and monitor individual learning progress. Maintain accurate student records and provide regular progress updates. Communicate professionally with parents through informal discussions, scheduled parent-teacher meetings, and progress consultations. Conduct one-to-one lessons and replacement classes when required. Support affiliated educational programmes and enrichment activities. Foster positive classroom behaviour and help students develop confidence, communication, and social skills. Create a safe, engaging, and conducive learning environment while ensuring students' wellbeing. Participate in weekly teacher meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development sessions. Support assessment activities, centre events, open houses, and student evaluations. Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers and centre management to ensure smooth daily operations. Perform other duties assigned by management as required. Job Requirements: Degree/Diploma in Teaching, Education, Early Childhood Education, English, English Literature, Linguistics, or a related discipline. Candidates with a Diploma in Teaching, Education, Early Childhood Education, English Language, English Literature, Linguistics, or other relevant disciplines are also welcome to apply. Strong command of spoken and written English with clear pronunciation. Preferably at least 2 years of teaching or relevant educational experience. Passionate about teaching and nurturing young children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and centre management.
