Job Description: Mars Petcare- Shift Manager (Cannery)- Columbus, OH (KKC) Pay : based on experience between $89- 104K This site manufactures petfood : Pedigree, Cesar, Nutro, Iams & Sheba Shift Schedule: Shift: 3rd (Nights) Schedule: Monday- Friday Hours: 11pm- 7:30am Description of Role: The Shift Manager in the Cannery area is a people-focused operations leader responsible for efficiently improving and delivering human safety, operational targets, quality, and conversion costs. They actively engage and develop their team of shift-based associates to drive performance and foster growth. What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements High School Diploma, GED or equivalent 3+ years of direct people leadership experience 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with executing continuous improvement initiatives Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP concepts and plant sanitation procedures Ability to develop and deploy training strategies Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.), internet browsers, and email Physical Requirements: Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs) Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
