Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, or program development in a mission-driven or high-performance setting, with a strong understanding of key debates and major players in development and humanitarian assistance.
  • A track record of tenacious problem solving, taking ownership, and delivering results in complex, ambiguous contexts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for high-stakes, external-facing materials.
  • Comfort navigating relationships and working directly with senior leaders internally and externally.
  • Experience operating with data to strengthen team-wide positioning and decision-making
  • Strong prioritization and self-management skills, with comfort operating across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing others.

About this role We are seeking a Senior Manager to contribute to GiveDirectly's next phase of growth by strengthening and expanding our institutional and foundation partnerships. This role plays a pivotal part in securing high-impact funding that enables us to scale evidence-based cash programs globally. As a senior leader within the Global Partnerships team, you'll be responsible for driving new and innovative revenue growth across an assigned portfolio of partners. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, and operates with a high degree of autonomy, setting and executing engagement strategy for priority funders and stewarding relationships from early conversations through proposal development and contract. A Senior Manager, Partnerships requires the ability to thread the needle between exploratory conversations and clearly defined next steps, translating high-level ideas into compelling pitches, actionable plans, and ultimately, contracted funding. Working closely with the Director of Partnerships on positioning and portfolio strategy, you will independently own day-to-day relationship management and pipeline building. You'll be responsible for developing high-quality materials and ensuring funder intelligence is systematically captured and shared across the team. Reports to : Director, Partnerships Level : Senior Manager Location : Remote, with minimum 3 hours overlap with East Africa timezones Travel Requirement : Must be able to travel at minimum 2 times per year to one of our countries of operation for team retreats, donor field visits, or other events.
