Electronics Technician

About the role

You will serve as an Electronics Technician in the Research & Development Ground, Weapons & Energetics Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DT-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Electronics Technician. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Reading and applying complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings; (2) Performing work related to populating circuit boards, building cable assemblies, and soldering components; (3) Testing and diagnosing using standard tools (e.g., multimeters, basic soldering irons); (4) Performing work related to surface mount and through-hole soldering; (5) Tracking daily workflow and managing basic inventory parts; and (6) Performing work that shows possession of an active J-STD-001 Certification.
