About the role
This role requires a strong understanding of ship repairs and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to overtime (including weekends/public holidays) and work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage service job execution and coordinate with Shipyard Production Team, Purchasing, Technical, Classification Societies, Ship Designers, etc.
- Liaise with customers, such as Ship Managers, Ship Owners, Agents and others.
- Prepare quotations for tariff and non-tariff jobs, Purchase Orders (to suppliers), tools & equipment lists and procurement of Spares/Materials, etc. and final invoicing to client.
- Coordinate transport if necessary of contractors/suppliers, tools & equipment to and from job sites including anchorage.
- Daily work planning for shipyard team (small workforce, 10 pax) including manpower planning, reporting, etc.
- Answer customer queries and provide remote technical support.
Requirements
- Diploma in Marine Engineering or similar.
- Past experience in marine/shipyard/ship repairs will be preferred.
- Experience in coordinating marine service work, especially afloat repairs will be an advantage.
