We're hiring a Software Engineer III to join our Audience Engineering team. This is a senior-level individual contributor role for a product-minded engineer who can independently own complex systems and features from discovery through production and iteration. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications and backend services
- Own features end-to-end from discovery and scoping through implementation, deployment, and post-launch measurement
- Partner directly with product and business stakeholders to define hypotheses, evaluate trade-offs, and align on success metrics
- Design, implement, and measure A/B tests and experimentation initiatives using tools such as PostHog or similar platforms
- Build and maintain full-stack TypeScript applications using frameworks such as Astro and Vue
- Contribute to backend services in PHP (Laravel) where applicable
- Write and optimize SQL queries and work directly with relational databases both within and outside of ORMs
- Work with cloud and edge infrastructure, including Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1, and AWS EKS
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and participate in structured Git workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the full stack with minimal oversight
- Improve observability, reliability, and performance using monitoring tools such as Datadog
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy
- Conduct thoughtful code reviews and mentor early-stage engineers
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity and code quality
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments
- Proven experience operating at a mid-senior or senior IC level with full ownership of complex features
- Strong production-level proficiency in PHP or TypeScript
- Have built, shipped, and maintained scalable web applications used by real customers
- Deep experience working within structured backend frameworks such as Laravel
- Strong command of modern JavaScript and TypeScript architecture and best practices
- Write efficient SQL and optimize relational database performance without relying solely on an ORM
- Have hands-on experience deploying and operating systems in AWS or Cloudflare environments
- Comfortable working with containerized applications and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Have implemented and maintained CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
- Use Git confidently in collaborative environments, including branching strategies and structured code reviews
- Ship features end-to-end, define measurable success criteria, and evaluate post-launch performance
- Communicate clearly with product and business stakeholders throughout the full feature lifecycle
