Responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Leadership
- Deliver deployment activities according to agreed performance metrics
- Ensure successful integration of autonomous systems into production workflows
- Monitor project progress and escalate technical or operational risks
- Manage on-site field engineers and technicians
- Oversee scheduling, safety compliance, and overall team performance
- Coordinate site logistics and operational readiness
- Strategic Liaison
- Act as the central communication hub between the customer site and Pronto HQ, providing regular progress reports and escalating technical or operational blockers.
- Ensure customer commitments for infrastructure, equipment, and resources are met
- Operational Integration
- Work with customers to set up or modify existing operational processes to accommodate autonomous haulage.
- Lead the customer training programs on Pronto technology and manage the formal handover of the system to the mine's operations team.
Requirements
- 15+ years of direct mining experience with deep understanding of mine site operations and production cycles.
- 5-10 years in leadership roles (e.g., Site Superintendent, Fleet Manager, Maintenance Manager).
- Proven track record of actively participating in technology rollouts, such as autonomy, remote operations, telematics, or machine control systems.
- Deep understanding of how to transition a mine from manual to technology-assisted or autonomous operations.
- A degree in Mining Engineering is highly preferred.
- Comfortable working full-time on-site in mining environments.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive-level stakeholders at both the customer and Pronto.
