Role overview We are looking for a Software Factory Architect to join one of our public sector clients based in Warsaw. You'll be the technical authority shaping how software is designed, built, and delivered across the organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for: Acting as a trusted technical advisor across software engineering teams. Designing and evolving the software development lifecycle and processes. Reviewing and recommending end-to-end solution architectures for complex projects. Defining architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices. Owning and evolving the engineering vision across the software factory. Ensuring consistency and alignment of architectures at enterprise level. Providing consultations and mentoring to senior engineers and technical leads. To excel in this role, you'll need: At least 8 years of IT experience and 5 years in an architecture role. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. Proven experience designing enterprise-scale and cloud-native distributed systems. Hands-on development background in backend and/or frontend technologies (.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar). Strong DevSecOps knowledge: CI/CD platform design, containerisation, orchestration, and platform engineering. Experience as a recognised technical leader - influencing teams and driving decisions without direct authority. Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate architecture vision clearly. At least 2 certifications from the following: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent) Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (or equivalent) Red Hat Certified Architect - RHCA (or equivalent) English B2 level certification or higher . Nice to have: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure services. Experience modelling systems in ArchiMate notation. Strong understanding of architecture styles and patterns.
